BJP sold Jammu mandate for few loaves of power: Rana
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

NAGROTA, MARCH 30: National Conference Provincial President Devender Singh Rana on Saturday asked the BJP to explain to people of Jammu why it sold their trust for a few berths in the government to enjoy loaves of power.

“After having dented the pride of Jammu and compromising with legitimate interests of the region, the BJP has lost moral authority of going to the people for votes again”, Rana, according to a statement, said while addressing workers across the Nagrota Assembly Constituency to seek their support for the Congress nominee from Jammu-Poonch parliamentary constituency Raman Bhalla, as per the decision of the leadership with a view to avert division of secular votes.

“Rana said foiling the game-plan of communal forces has become all the more necessary in view political instability unleashed by the BJP in the State during past few years. He said secular, forward looking and progress dispensation at the Centre is in the interests of a sensitive state like Jammu and Kashmir which has been converted into a political theatre by BJP for garnering votes across the country,” reads the statement.

“He said BJP is suffering acute credibility deficit and political isolation in Jammu because of its deceit, double standards and self-centric approach. The people have made up their mind to give the party a befitting reply in the upcoming elections, as it failed in keeping the promises and deserted the government after leaving the state in total chaos. He described the BJP as a political chameleon, saying except gaining power it has no other agenda,” it said.

“Rana also listened to the problems of the people and assured that these will be taken up at appropriate forums for immediate redressal. He said he has been endeavouring for ensuring smooth functioning of various utility services and implementation of programmes for overall good of the people,” it added.
