Srinagar, March 29: Former National Conference leader and prominent Social activist, Iftekhar Misgar on Friday joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with party President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti welcoming him into the party fold.
According to the party spokesman, Misgar who was NC’s candidate for Anantnag assembly seat joined the PDP along with hundreds of his supporters, terming party’s pro-people vision and series of bold initiatives as a main reason for him to join the PDP.
Welcoming him into the fold, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti said that her party has always kept its doors open for the people with the perspective minds and that Misgar’s joining will help strengthening the party further on ground.
