Verinag, Zanskar deputations call on Sharma

JAMMU, MARCH 28: Deputations from Zanskar in Ladakh division and Verinag in Kashmir division today called on Advisor to Governor KK Sharma and raised various issues of public importance for their redressal.

A deputation of Ladakh Buddhist Association Zanskar (Kargil) today called on the Advisor Sharma and projected various issues before him.

The issues projected include District status for Zanskar region, allocation of land at Jammu for the establishment of Sarai/ library for the people of Sub-Division and providing firewood free of cost at cremation ground Sani Zanskar for cremation purposes.

The deputation of Municipal Committee Dooru-Verinag led by President M.I. Ahangar also called on the Advisor and projected several issues related to the Municipal Committee.

The deputation demanded installation of dual chamber dustbins, providing manpower (Safie karamcharies), office vehicle, sucking and jetting machine in the twin towns. They also raised the issue of construction of shopping complexes near Bus Adda Dooru and shops near Model Hospital Dooru and renovation of the first floor of Town Hall Dooru and sub-office Verinag.

While interacting with the deputations, the Advisor said that the issues projected by deputations would be looked into.
