Baramulla, Mar 26: The dead bodies of a brother and sister who drowned on Monday evening in Sailkote, Rafiabad area of north Kashmir in Baramulla district, were recovered by a rescue team on Tuesday.
An official said that both the bodies have been recovered after the brother-sister duo drowned in Viji Nallah in Sialkote area of Rafiabad on Monday evening.
He said that the bodies were recovered with the help of rescue team and Baramulla police.
The deceased duo identified as 8-year-old Seerat Jan and her 13-year-old brother Muhammad Ashraf Najar, were trying to cross the stream when they were washed away.
