The DC said the education department has an important role in the mission with schools hosting a major percentage of the target population.

He instructed the concerned departments to hold awareness camps about the programme for the information of the target population and also asked the Social Welfare department to organise nutrition mission weeks.

He said the data required for it is dynamic and instructed for undertaking fresh surveys of target population under the mission.

The meeting was informed that a district coordination committee comprising members from all concerned departments will be formed to ensure proper monitoring of implementation of the nutrition mission.
