Srinagar: One person was arrested today following an action against those involved in drug peddling in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
One person identified as Riyaz Ahmad Dar son of Wali Muhammad Dar resident of Khelan Naina Sangam was arrested for the drug offences during naka checking and taken to Police Station Panthachowk where he remains in custody, a police spokesman said.
One Kilogram of Charas was recovered from his possession, said the spokesman, adding, case FIR No 11/2019 under relevant sections has been registered in PS Panthachowk.
