Training prog for Hajj pilgrims held at Kargil

KARGIL MARCH 12:- The State Hajj Committee J&K in collaboration with the Hajj Committee of India and the District Administration Kargil conducted 1st phase of practical training cum orientation programme for the selected Hajj pilgrims of District Kargil at Conference Hall Baroo here today.

As many as 80 prospective pilgrims of the district were imparted training for this year’s pilgrimage by the representatives of the State Hajj Committee and Hajj Committee of India.

Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sonam Chosjor besides other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.

The Hajis were imparted practical training and information in detail about the Hajj rituals as well as logistic support.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner expressed his best wishes to the pilgrims for embarking on the sacred journey of life. He urged the prospective Hajis to pray for the progress, prosperity and welfare of Kargil district and Ladakh Division during the holy pilgrimage.

The DC also requested Hajis to pray for the younger generation to lead them on the path of righteousness, virtue and humility.

Meanwhile, Hajj trainer Haji Muhammad Ali gave thorough information and training to the pilgrims with regard to matters pertaining to boarding, lodging, accommodation, currency exchange and other activities to be performed during the pilgrimage. They were also briefed about important documents and luggage to be carried along.

The Hajis expressed gratitude to the district administration for their cooperation and effective management in ensuring a successful and smooth Hajj pilgrimage training for them.
