Baramulla: One person was arrested by Baramulla police during a naka checking at Poshwani Pattan following an action against those involved in drug peddling in Baramulla.
A police spokesman said that one person identified as Nisar Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Rasool Dar resident of Rangi Pattan was arrested for the drug offences has been taken to Police Station Pattan where he remains in custody.
The police have seized contraband substance (Charas) from his possession and a case under FIR No 25/2019 under relevant sections has been registered in Police Station Pattan and investigation has been taken up, said the spokesman.
