Bhagat distributes credit facility cards to 66 beneficiary workers

JAMMU, MARCH 07: Commissioner Secretary Labour and Employment, Saurabh Bhagat, today distributed credit facility cards among 66 beneficiaries of Jammu division under micro revolving credit scheme for building and other construction workers at a function held here.

The function was organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB).

On the occasion, the Commissioner Secretary underscored the need for creating awareness about the schemes and programmes meant for the upliftment of building and other construction workers.

He asked the concerned to ensure that the benefits of ongoing schemes reach to genuine and deserving persons. He also emphasized for the speedy disposal of the assistance cases at all levels of the Labour Department so that the construction workers benefit well in time.

Labour Commissioner B A Khan also spoke on the occasion and highlighted various activities of the department.

Chief Executive Officer and Secretary JKBOCWWB, Muzafar Ahmed Peer in his welcome address highlighted the schemes meant for the construction workers. He appealed the workers to come forward and get the benefits of the schemes initiated by the government for their uplift.

Vice President, IT Finance deliberated on the uses and functions of the distributed cards.

Director Hospitality and Protocol, Tariq Ahmed Zarger, Director Employment, Additional Transport Commissioner, Assistant Labour Commissioners of various districts were also present in the function.
