2 person die, 11 injured in road accident in Langate

Kupwara, Mar 06: Two passengers died and eleven others were injured after a vehicle they were travelling on met with an accident at Langate chowk in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, Wednesday.

Reports said that a minibus (JK09A-1220) turned turtle at main chowk Langate today afternoon, resulting in death to one passenger and injuries to 12 others.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital wherefrom six injured were referred to District Hospital Handwara for specialized treatment.

“Six among the injured were referred to district hospital Handwara for specialized treatment. However, one among the injured succumbed there,” said Block Medical officer Langate.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Sultan (40), son of Khazar Mohammad, resident of Panditpora Langate and Sajad Lone, son of Bashir Lone (40).
