Shopian, Mar 04: Army-men on Monday shot dead a leopard at a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A police official said that a patrolling party of 44 RR opened fire on the leopard immediately after it attacked them in Pehlipora village of the district.
“The leopard had bullets all over the body that resulted in the animal’s instant death,” the official said.
A team of Wildlife department rushed to the spot and took the carcass in their custody.
