Srinagar, March 03: Paying tribute to the slain youth in Handwara gunfight, All Parties Hurriyat Conference chairman, Syed Ali Geelani blamed Indian authorities and said that ‘insensitivity, unconcern, denial and unrealistic approach’ was the reason for unabated bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a press release issued here, Geelani condemned the ‘excessive’ use of force against the ‘innocent protestors’ adding that youths were spilling blood for the ‘sacred cause of Kashmir’ and the entire ‘nation’ was indebted to these ‘martyrs’. “It is the collective responsibility of the oppressed nation to take the ongoing movement to its ultimate destination,” Geelani added.

Terming the attitude of Indian leadership as ‘in a state of denial’, Hurriyat chairman said that the sole reason for unabated bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir was a result of such policies. Geelani reiterated his stand that loss of human lives was a serious concern and asked India to adopt a ‘realistic and justified approach’ in order to resolve Kashmir dispute for peace and prosperity of entire South Asia.
