The protesters said the BJP in order to appease its vote bank took the extreme step of banning socio-religious organization in the state.

Demanding the centre to immediately rollback its order of banning Jammat, the protesting PDP activists said since elections are near, BJP work hard to woo voters at the cost of Kashmir.

“This ban should immediately be revoked. We know BJP’s sinister plans behind this move. BJP tries to win elections at the cost of Kashmiris. But it should bear in mind that its plans have been badly exposed,” said Khursheed Alam, PDPD MLC for Khanyar constituency
