Srinagar: Three persons were arrested today following an action against those involved in drug peddling in Anantnag.
A police spokesman said that three persons were arrested for the drug offences during Naka checking at Tulkhan Bijbehara.
Officers have seized 72 bottles of codeine from drug peddlers namely Showkat Ahmad son of Mohamamd Yousuf resident of Tulkhan Bijbehara, Showkat Ahmad son of Wali Mohd resident of Tulkhan Bijbehara and Mohammad Yousuf son of Soimoh Tral, said the spokesman.
A case FIR No. 15/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Bijbehara.
