CEC LAHDC Leh inaugurates Arhat Hall of Wisdom

LEH, FEBRUARY 27: Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) LAHDC Leh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal inaugurated the new building of Arhat Hall of Wisdom at Spituk today.

Deputy Commissioner / CEO LAHDC Leh Avny Lavasa, Councillor Phyang constituency Phunchok Dorjey, Vice-president LBA P.T. Kunzang, Monks of Spituk monastery, eminent Physician Dr. Tsering Norboo, HODs of concerned departments and villagers of Spituk in large number were present on the occasion.

The building has been funded under Rurban Mission, MP-LAD, 14th Finance Commission, and Councilor Constituency Development Fund and the project was executed by Rural Development Department Leh.

The CEC recounted enormous contributions of the 19th Kushok Gyalras Bakula Rinpoche towards overall upliftment of the entire Ladakh region in general and the core importance of education in particular. The construction of the hall comes under the GoI Rurban Mission which is targeted to deliver integrated project based infrastructure in the rural areas, said CEC. Responding to the request made by villagers, CEC assured of all assistance from Council for further completion of the hall.

He further said that the black topping of Spituk Markalaga to Choglamsar via Agling, and street lighting along this road will be completed in the coming summer season. Car parking at Spituk Gonpa will also be completed in phase manner, he added.
