Srinagar, Feb 26: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday expressed serious concern over the unending power crisis in Kashmir valley amid harsh winters, stating that scores of far- flung areas at present are reeling under darkness with administration acting as a mute spectator.

Party General Secretary and former minister Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura said the power scarcity has been affecting people constantly and government’s non- serious approach in ending the crises is questionable.

The PDP General Secretary also visited  various areas of central Kashmir and met scores of peoples’ delegations in Chrarisharif town, Hafroo Batapora, Sursyar, Pethyar, Bonyar and Choudhary Gund.

He also expressed concern over slow pace of work going on over project related to the commissioning of receiving stations of Hanjura and Chrarisharif which were initiated by the PDP led Governet in the past. The PDP leader questioned why till date the project hasn’t been completed.

He also stated that the work on receiving stations of Pakharpora Hafroo Batapora, Panzan and Ranger which were sanctioned during PDP Govt haven’t yet been initiated.
