Baramulla, Feb 26: Sister of senior journalist Karamat Qayoom passed away on Tuesday after prolonged illness at her residence in Parry Mohalla, Sangri Baramulla.

Nimaz-e-Jinazah of the deceased was attended by large number of people at her ancestral graveyard.

A delegation of BWJA led by president Gulzar Ahmad, general secretary Tahir Bukhari, chief spokesman Reyaz Rashid and photojournalist Nisar Malik visited the family to express sympathies with the bereaved.

North Kashmir Journalist Association (NKJA) also expressed condolences and sympathies with the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, chairman Human Aid Society Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Mir called a condolences meeting of its executive, general body and volunteer members at Head office Dewanbagh Baramulla.

The members expressed their grief and sorrow on the sad demise of sister of HAS Kashmir patron Haji Karamat Qayoom.

‘Kashmir Images’ family also expresses solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
