Legal awareness cum medical camp organized
JAMMU FEBRUARY 25: A legal awareness cum medical camp was organized by District Legal Services Authority, Jammu in collaboration with J&K Health Department and district administration Jammu for the workers working in the un-organized sector under the Chairmanship of Vinod Chatterji Koul, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Jammu at Bhawani Nagar, Roop Nagar, and Janipur Jammu.
A team of doctors comprising of Dr. Akhil Medical Officer cum Psychiatrist, Dr. Indu Raina, Gynecologist and Dr. Surinder Taplu, Physician specialist examined around 552 medical assistance seeking people along with other Para Medical staff.
Besides workers working in the un-organized sector the camp also attracted a large number of local people from the adjoining area which includes mostly women, children and senior citizens also.
Secretary DLSA Jammu, Naushad Ahmed Khan also interacted personally with senior citizens and made them aware them about the various state and central sponsored welfare schemes available for their welfare and benefit.
