DC Budgam reviews PM- KSN scheme implementation in Budgam

BUDGAM, FEBRUARY 22: Deputy Commissioner, Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today visited Tehsil Office Budgam to take review of the implementation of PM- Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme (PM KSN) across the district.

While taking stock of the ongoing farmers’ data collection and its computerization up-dation, the DC directed the concerned to complete the work immediately.

She stressed that data should be collected from farmers expeditiously and directed computer operators to update data with LGD numbers after proper verification. On the occasion, Tehsildar Budgam Nusrat informed that out of 11793 verified farmers 9076 farmers have been computerized, while as 8474 have been updated by the NIC Budgam across the Tehsil Budgam so far.

DC stressed on the concerned departments including, Revenue and Agriculture to work in close coordination to ensure work on computerization process is completed without any delay.

The DC said that there was no scope for any errors in the data, as she said that funds under the scheme would be disbursed from 24th of this month only.

Later, the DC also took review of the Revenue related works, and directed all Tehsildars to clear all pending cases particularly those halting development works in their Tehsils on priorities.

She directed them to conduct quarterly market checking in all markets to ensure shopkeepers, traders do not indulge in overpricing or sale of sub-standard food items anywhere in the district.

She asked Tehsildars to take strict action under the law against the erring traders. She also emphasized on speeding up the drive against the illegal encroachment on state or Kaahcharai land in their areas and remove all illegal encroachments. Besides, asked concerned to keep check on the mushrooming of illegal tuition centers in the district and stressed on to seal all coaching centers operating illegally in the district.

The DC also directed concerned to identify state land for the construction of Police Post at Soibugh and land for the development of Makai Point on Narbal-Gulmarg road at Narbal. She said the Makai point will be developed as a tourist point for the Gulmarg bound tourists in that area.
