Jammu Mahotsav-2019 ends with enthralling performances

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 10: The Jammu Mahotsav-2019 culminated here today with scintillating performances by the daughters of soil Sushmita Banerjee, Sonali Dogra and Sharry Mann.

During the three-day event, the Directorate of Tourism, Jammu organized cultural programmes, NukkadNatak, displayed Ethnic Food Stalls, Departmental Stalls and many other activities at Bus Stand Katra, Mansar, Chichi Mata, Bagh-e-Bahu, Mubarak Mandi, Jammu, Suchetgarh and Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.

It was a great success and the people cutting across the social and religious lines appreciated the efforts being made by the Directorate of Tourism towards promotion of important tourist destinations in and around Jammu through such cultural and unique events.

The objective of organizing Jammu Mahotsav was to involve people in large numbers in all these activities and to make them aware about the importance of these destinations having huge tourism potential. The people were also made aware about the importance of promotion of tourism in the region and its impact in boosting economy of the State.

On last day of the event, 2nd Jammu Sidhra Golf Cup Tournament was also organized by the Directorate of Tourism in collaboration with Jammu Tawi Golf Course.

The cultural programmes conducted during Jammu Mahotsav at Bagh-e-Bahu and Mubarak Mandi Complex had a great impact on the audience who had great appreciation for the Tourism Department.

Director Tourism expressed gratitude to all the departments and other stakeholders who extended whole hearted support towards making this traditional event a grand success. He also thanked FCI, volunteers of Youth Hostel Association of India, Global Gandhi Family and NRI’s who played major role in making celebrity performance at Yatri Niwas a grand success.
