Kumar inaugurates 38th Annual Conference of North Zone Orthopedics Association

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 08: Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar today inaugurated 38th Annual Conference of North Zone Orthopedics Association at auditorium of GMC Jammu.

The event is being organized by the Post Graduate department of Orthopedics GMC Jammu in collaboration with JKIOA from February 8-10, 2019.

Principal GMC Jammu Dr Sunanda Raina, Secretary NZOA Dr Harpal Singh, HoD Orthopedics GMC Jammu Dr Anil Gupta, foreign delegates, faculty members and students were present on the occasion.

The theme of this annual conference cum workshop is ‘Solutions to Controversies’ is which will provide valuable insight into some pressing issues in Orthopedics.

During this conference cum workshop, eminent faculty across the country and abroad would be delivering deliberations focusing on the theme. Foreign delegates from Israel, UK, Thailand and Indian delegates from various parts of the country are participating in the conference who will be sharing their expertise in the field of Orthopedics.

Addressing the medical fraternity, the Advisor said that sharing of knowledge is very important in today’s world and hopefully this conference would provide a platform to the participants to discuss the future developments, new practices in this field.

He said that it is very important to know that what is happening in the world, what kind of new innovations are taking place especially in the medical world to get informed of them and use them while giving treatment to the patients.

I wish the conference all success and hope that it would surely offer an opportunity for exchange of best practices and latest techniques currently being followed in the field of Orthopedics, the Advisor said.

The Advisor thanked the delegates especially who have come from other countries for participating and exchanging their ideas with other faculty members. He also held brief interaction with these delegates and discussed the advancement being made in the field of Orthopedics in the world.

Later, he also interacted with the medical students pursuing their studies in GMC Jammu in different departments.
