Kumar holds weekly public hearing at Jammu

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 07: Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar today listened to the grievances of the people during weekly public hearing programme held here today.

18 deputations and 22 individuals met the Advisor who apprised him about their grievances, demands and requested his intervention in timely resolution of the issues.

A group of qualified Ayurvedic doctors apprised the Advisor about their issues including request for creation of posts of Ayurvedic Doctors so that they can apply for the same.

A delegation of contractual doctors working on academic arrangements under SRO-384 urged for consideration of their candidature by JKPSC.

Members of Coordination Committee of Estates/PHQ Hired Hotels in Srinagar sought his intervention for implementation of new rent rates approved in 2015.

Residents of Shahidi Chowk Jammu projected their demands including action against the land grabbers.

Members of Christian Minority Welfare Association Jammu also projected some demands related to the welfare of their community and requested taking strong steps to prevent drug addiction.

A delegation of Retired Police Personnel’s also made their representation to the Advisor highlighting their issues, while as a delegation of contractual workers of NHM working under e-hospital project sought his intervention in release of their pending salary.

Rehbre-e-Khel aspirants from district Anantnag met the Advisor apprising him of their demands including grant of age relaxation to them.

A delegation of All J&K Rehbre-e-Janglat Employees Association urged for amendment inthe policy of Rehbre-e-Janglatbrining it at par with Rehbre-e-Zirat.

Besides, several individuals also registered their grievances for their timely resolution.

The Advisor assured the people that the grievances would be looked into seriously and necessary action will be taken accordingly. In some cases, he instructed the concerned officers to act on the issues raised by the people and redress them in a timely manner.
