PDP delegation visits Nowpora Akhran, condoles demise of PDP President’s maternal uncle

Srinagar, Feb 3:  A high level Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) delegation led  by party Vice President Abdul Rahman Veeri on Sunday visited the residence of PDP leader Mohammad Sartaj Madni and offered condolence to the bereaved family.

Muhammad Shafi Farooqi, elder brother of PDP senior leader Mohammad Sartaj Madni breathed his last on Saturday at SKIMS where he was undergoing treatment for the past few days.

The deceased was also maternal uncle of PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.

The PDP delegation comprising of senior PDP leaders, former minister sand legislators including Mohammad Khalil Bandh,  Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat and several others  visited Nowpora Akhran to commiserate with the bereaved family.

Led by Veeri, the delegation expressed solidarity with the family members and prayed for the highest place in Jannah for the departed soul.
