Army team emerges victorious by defeating Jammu & Kashmir Team by a goal margin of 5-1

SRINAGAR, FEB 03: The Army Team, represented by Young Soldiers of Ladakh Scouts, won the 4th Junior National Ice Hockey Championship (U-20) held at the newly constructed Ice Hockey Rink at Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre, Leh.

The Army Team emerged victorious by defeating Jammu & Kashmir Team by a goal margin of 5-1. Shri Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, CEC, Leh was the chief guest and felicitated the Winners.

Maj Gen YPS Mor, GOC Leh Sub Area was the guest of honour.

The tournament comprised teams from various states including the Army and was conducted under the aegis of Ice Hockey Association of India (IHAI) for which the venue and logistic support was provided by the Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre.

The Championship provided an ideal platform for the young players to showcase their talent in this unique and tough sport. The Chief Guest complimented the players for exhibiting true sportsmanship and appreciated the role of IHAI and the Army in promoting and popularising Ice Hockey in the Country.
