JRL protests continuous detention of Kashmir prisoners

Srinagar: Activists of the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Friday staged separate protests at Maisuma and Jamia Masjid Nowhatta and Hyderpora against the continuous detention of Kashmiri prisoners lodged in different jails in and outside Jammu and Kashmir.

Soon after Friday prayers, JRL activists assembled outside Jamia Masjid and raised slogans against the government.

The activists were demanding immediate release of political prisoners lodged in different jails of the state and outside.

At Maisuma, JRL supporters led by JKLF leaders staged a protest demonstration against the continuous detention of Kashmiri prisoners.

The protesters said prisoners from Kashmir are languishing from decades in different jails in Jammu and Kashmir and other states of India.

At Hyderpora, JRL activists also protested against the prolonged detention of Kashmiri prisoners in and outside state.
