Finally, Parray is out of JKEDI
“Re-appointment order was in violation of rules”
Srinagar: The state government today withdrew the controversial re-appointment order of M I Parray as Director JK Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) with an immediate effect.
Parray was re-appointed as Director JKEDI in March 2018 generating a controversy as the order of re-appointment was seen, by many, as a violation of set rules.
Despite much hue and cry in the media regarding the re-appointment, the then government, headed by PDP went ahead and issued the order of re-appointment of Parray on March 28, 2018.
However, in an order issued today, Shaleen Kabra, Principal Secretary, I&C Department termed the re-appointment order of March 2018 as “violative of the JKEDI organizational structure, strategic plan, service and recruitment rules 2013.”
“The re-appointment order suffers from the legal defect ab-intio, and is, hence, withdrawn,” the order under number 25-IND of 2019 issued by Kabra reads.
