Feroz Khan urges budding entrepreneurs to adopt novel ideas in business ventures

KARGIL JANUARY 31: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan today advised budding entrepreneurs to adopt novel ideas in running their proposed business units so that they are in a position to achieve greater success and face market challenges with ease.

The CEC said this while addressing the trainees of 21 days Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for budding entrepreneurs organized by Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), District Centre Kargil which concluded at Language Center here on Wednesday.

Cluster Head J&K Bank Muhammad Salim, District Cultural Officer Kargil Muhammad Ali Tak, In charge General Manager District Industries Centre (DIC) Kargil Mudassir Ahmed, District Nodal Officer JKEDI Kargil Gulzar Ali, Coordinator JKEDI Muhammad Ali and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.

The CEC said that since it is not possible that Government provides jobs to everyone, unemployed educated youth should come forward and avail benefits of the self-employment schemes which have been introduced by the Centre and State Government.

Earlier, District Nodal Officer JKEDI Kargil, Gulzar Ali highlighted various schemes being implemented by JKEDI for welfare of the youth. He said that the JKEDI since its establishment in 2013 has established more than one thousand business enterprises across the district besides the conduct of trainings to impart awareness to youth about procedures of obtaining different loans.

Coordinator JKEDI Muhammad Ali in his address congratulated all the participants for choosing entrepreneurship as their career option.

Pertinently, 45 educated unemployed youth of the district in the age group of 18-40 years participated in the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) which was conducted by the institute under Seed Capital Fund Scheme and Youth Start Up Loan Scheme in order enable them to start up their business ventures.
