KVIB organizes quarterly bankers meet at Kargil

KARGIL JANUARY 24: – Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Kargil Wednesday organized quarterly bankers meeting here at Cluster Office J&K Bank.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) Scheme.

Cluster Head J&K Bank Kargil Muhammad Saleem, General Manager District Industries Centre Kargil, District Officer KVIB Kargil Ghulam Hadi Balti, Chief Manager State Bank of India Kargil, representatives of various other banks and officers of line departments were present in the meeting.

District Officer KVIB Kargil through a power point presentation informed the meeting that till date KVIB Kargil has sponsored 129 cases under PMEGP scheme out of which the banks have sanctioned 59 cases.

The Cluster Head J&K Bank and other bank representatives said that the pending cases shall be sanctioned before the closing of the current financial year.

Meanwhile, the participants were also informed about the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Program (JKREGP) which covers all those areas which have not been covered under PMEGP. It was further informed that the scheme involves the establishment of dairy units, poultry units and other related establishments etc.
