Ahead of PM’s scheduled visit, Div Com reviews arrangements

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 23: Ahead of Prime Minister’s scheduled visit to Kashmir, Divisional Commissioner Baseer Ahmad Khan today reviewed the arrangements in presence of Commissioner Secretary PDD, Hridesh Kumar here at a high-level meeting.

The Divisional Commissioner took stock of the arrangements for stage decoration, drinking water, power supply, seating arrangements, medical facilities, sanitation, Hi-end vehicles, traffic management, parking, programme schedule and other arrangements being put in place by the government agencies in connection with VVIP visit.

The Divisional Commissioner stressed upon the officers to make sure that all necessary arrangements are made well in time and stressed on the need for close coordination among different agencies for the successful conduct of Prime Minister’s visit to the valley.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Deputy Commissioner Budgam Dr Syed SherishAsgar, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Chief Engineers of PDD, R&B, Director Agriculture, Principal GMC, Director RDD, Commissioner SMC, DGM Housing Board, DGM JKPCC, GM JKSRTC, Deputy Director Hospitality and Protocol, Assistant Commissioner and other senior officers of civil and police administration whereas Deputy Commissioners of Baramulla, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Pulwama, Shopian, Leh and Director Colleges and Technical Education participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
