Srinagar, Jan 20: A scooty-rider died in a road accident in Kurhama area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday while two others were injured in a separate road accident in Sopore area of north Kashmir.
Police said a Scooty, driven by Ghulam Nabi Tantray, was hit by a car in Kurhama area on Sunday afternoon. Tantray, a resident of Nawabagh area of Ganderbal, died on the spot.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case in this regard.
Two persons were injured late last night after their car met with an accident in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports said the driver lost control on the car and crashed it into a road divider in New Colony area.
They said the two persons injured in the mishap were rushed to SDH Sopore wherefrom they were referred them to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment.
The injured were identified as Abdul Gani Shah of Shallapora and Zahoor Ahmad Malla of Sher Colony Sopore.
