Advisor Ganai urges for proactive approach, self-reliance to develop strong society

JAMMU, JANUARY 17: Several deputations and individuals called on Advisor to Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai here today and apprised him of various issues concerning their respective areas.

A deputation of All J&K Gaddi Sippi Tribes Welfare Association demanded representation of Gaddi Sippi in ST Advisory Board, establishment of   Gaddi Sippi hostels at Jammu, Bani, Bhaderwah and Ramban, up-gradation of infrastructure and creation of posts at Udhampur hostel, reservation of seats in professional colleges for the Gaddi Sippi community, establishment of off-site campus of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University at Jammu.

A deputation of Sarpanchs and Panchs of Dacchan, Marwah and its adjoining areas demanded posting of local officer as ZEO Marwah.

Inhabitants of village Udhyanpur Baghla from Doda demanded   up-gradation of  local Government high School to Higher Secondary level.

Many other deputations and individuals also projected their demands and developmental issues of their areas.

The Advisor gave a patient hearing to the deputations and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into. He passed on-spot directions to the concerned departments for redressal of various grievances.
