Jammu: January 16 :  JKPCC Chief GA Mir today alleged that Modi led BJP Govt. failed to handle situation in Jammu and Kashmir. He was addressing party convention at Sangrampur , a press release issued here said.

Mir while addressing the gathering maintained that BJP had virtually failed to handle the situation in J&K during its ‘unholy’ coalition in the Stat and the PDP-BJP government had left the people of the State in lurch and the overall situation deteriorated in Kashmir Valley.

The meeting was also attended by  Ex.Dy CM Tara Chand,  Vice President Mulla Ram, Vice President  Raman Bhalla, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma among other prominent members.

Mir termed BJP- PDP coalition as ‘opportunist alliance’ that compromised their core issues for the sake of power while remaining engaged in the tug of war during their whole period in office. This, Mir added, caused great harm to the secular and social fabric of the State.

Stating that BJP had mastery of falsehood and fake slogans and pursued destructive and divisive politics in the country, Mir claimed that Congress Party was the only secular and unifying force in state.

Former Dy. CM, while speaking on the occasion, said that BJP had brought Jammu and Kashmir in a confrontational mode with one region standing against other. “It was Congress Government which always kept all three regions united as one unit. There was equal share in development and employment without any disparity,” he said.
