Quite politics or to apologize: Er. Rasheed asks Mehbooba
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar 15 January: Counseling National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to stop mud sliding at each other, AIP President Er. Rasheed has said that people of J&K needed to wake up and uproot the ‘politics of hypocrisy’.

In a press release issued here, the party president has said that allegations being leveled by Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti against each other in south Kashmir were a disrespect to people’s mandate, diluted Kashmir cause and gave New Delhi a free hand to carry on its policies of ‘oppression and suppression’ through ‘state terrorism’. “Let Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti be clear and tell people either J&K is India’s integral part or a dispute that needs to be resolved. They must either side themselves with the masses or with New Delhi,” Rasheed added.

He further said that the ‘confusing stances’ by both NC and PDP were diluting Kashmir cause and creating false hopes in New Delhi that Kashmiris could be forced or persuaded to surrender .

Rasheed, in the press release, urged the masses to make a choice if they wanted to be ‘trapped continuously between the dual policies of NC and PDP’ or wanted a leadership which would speak with consistency and sincerity and ask New Delhi and Islamabad to give Kashmiris right to self-determination.
