Snowfall forecast: ADDC Budgam reviews preparedness of departments

BUDGAM, JANUARY 10: Additional District Development Commissioner, Khurshid Ahmad Sanai today visited Chadoora and Chrar-e-Sharief areas to take stock of post snowfall situation and readiness in view of the fresh snowfall forecast.

During the visit, the ADDC hailed the joint efforts of the line departments including Mechanical, Engineering, R&B, PHE, PDD and allied agencies in tackling the exigencies arisen during the recent snowfall satisfactorily.

Meanwhile, the locals at various places met the ADDC and appreciated the efforts of the administration in taking effective measures to tackle the situation, particularly for prompt restoration of essentials services including road connectivity, power and water supplies to their areas.

The ADCC along with Tehsildar Chrar-e-Sharief visited the shrine of Sheikh Noordin Wali (RA) and Khankha where he interacted with locals to ascertain about the facilities including power supply, drinking water, cleaning of shrine and Khankha premises for the convenience of the devotees.

The ADDC later reviewed the availability of essentials, particularly rice, Atta, K-oil and LPG at meeting with the concerned departments. He directed all concerned departments to be in readiness keeping in view of weather advisory.
