All India Police Band Competition: DGP chairs review meeting at PHQ

JAMMU, JANUARY 09: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh today chaired a review meeting in connection with 19th All India Police Band Competition at Police headquarters.

The competition is being hosted by J&K Police at Jammu from February 5, 2018.

In a statement issued here, the J&K police spokesman said: “While addressing the officers present in the meeting, the DGP directed that all the committees constituted with different assignments must implement the plans with regard to the arrangements for accommodation, transport and other logistics in such a way that the participants should not face any difficulty.”

“He directed that all arrangements must be put in place for the opening and closing of the competitions and participation of public, students and civil society members should be ensured. He said that all the resources must be pooled and all the officers and officials should put in their best to make the competition a memorable occasion,” said the spokesman.

“DGP emphasized for making the competition a hassle free event by making befitting arrangements of hospitality, by having perfect coordination among the different officers,” he said.

“The competition is held under the aegis of All India Police Sports Control Board and all state and Union Territories Police Forces are expected to participate in the competition. J&K Police is hosting the competition for the 2nd time and had lifted the title in 4th All India Police Band Competition held in the year 2002,” he added.

The spokesman further said: “The meeting was attended by ADGsP B.Srinivas, A.G Mir, M Suleman Salaria, Munir Ahmad Khan, IGP M.K Sinha, Danesh Rana, S. A. Mujtaba, Anand Jain, Alok Kumar, and other senior officers.”
