Baramulla:  Class IV aspirants of district Baramulla who have been waiting for selection list from last 13 years staged strong protest demonstration outside  office of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla on Tuesday demanding immediate release of the list caught in red-tape and deliberate delay.

Chanting anti-administration slogans, the aspirants, who have been running from pillar to post to get the list released , allege that civil administration in the month of June announced publicly that list will be made public in the first week of August last year but 13 years on the list is yet to get publish.

They further allege that even DC Baramulla Nasir Ahmed Naqash several times told the aspirants that list will be released soon and Governor’s grievance cell was twice intimated that list will be made public within week’s time but nothing has been done on ground.

“We have been waiting for the last 13 years for this list; our interviews were conducted in many ways which took years. We failed to understand why the district administration is deliberating delaying this recruitment process for such a long time,” said a group of class IV aspirants while narrating their ordeal to Kashmir Images outside DC office Baramulla

“Ironically, similar advertisements published in other districts of Kashmir. The aspirants got selected after qualifying interviews, the now working in the different departments from last many years but ill fated candidates of Baramulla are being punished for unknown reasons. We are mentally traumatised,” said another protesting aspirant.

“Both Government and administration have been playing with our careers and sentiments. We are pushed to wall,” said an aspirant Irsahid Hussain.

Mushtaq Ahemd one of the candidate alleged that district administration “has never been serious in issuing this list on time, he said that since 13 years we are getting fake hopes from authorities but nothing happened on ground level yet, he however accused the DC Baramulla of “deliberately delaying” the selection list.

However, last month Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Naqash in a written reply to honourable high court said that as the Model after Code of conduct will end in valley, list will be published. Meanwhile the protesting aspriants appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik to intervene in the issue.

Meanwhile, after holding DC office employees including DC Baramulla hostage for half day by keeping entrance gate blocked resulting into disruption of day work , Class IV aspirants called off their protest and the standoff  eneded after DC Baramulla Nasir Ahmed Naqash assured them before media that list will be published on coming Monday at any cost.
