Srinagar: A cordon and search operation (CASO) was launched by the government forces on Saturday evening in Dochnipora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir, sources said.
Sources said that Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off Mahand village in Srigufwara Saturday evening around 6 PM.
The CASO, sources said, was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
No reports of any exchange of fire were received when this report was being filed.
