Srinagar, Jan 5: A man died after slipping from a roof top of his house while clearing snow in Bandipora town of north Kashmir.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shahid Iqbal Choudary told GNS that the person namely Mumtaz Ahmad, a shopkeeper of Ward 4 of Bandipora received serious head injuries after he fell from the rooftop of his two-storey house while clearing the snow.
He was immediately shifted to district hospital however he died due to grave injuries, DC said.
“The DC expressed grief over his death and extended assistance of Rs 4 Lakh for the family,” he said.
Mukhtar was a father of famous cricketer Faizan Illahi.(GNS)
