Kickboxing Championship kick-starts at SK Stadium Bandipora

BANDIPORA, JANUARY 03: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, on Thursday inaugurated the WAKO Kickboxing Championship at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium Bandipora.

Around 350 youth are participating in the championship which is being organized by Youth Services and Sports under Khelo India in collaboration with Hyder Sports Academy Bandipora.

Speaking on the occasion, ADC Bandipora urged youngsters to participate in the sports activities for their overall development. He also said: “Kickboxing is an important sports activity which helps a person to learn self-defence techniques.”

DySP (DR) Abdul Rasheed Khan, Nodal Officer, Peerzada Khursheed Ahmad Shah, Khelo India were the dignitaries present on the occasion.

The championship will conclude on 04 January.
