The supervisors from various projects of the districts assembled at DC office holding placards that read ‘Release Our Salary”, ‘Enough is enough’, We Want Justice’ and raised slogans in favor of their demands.

“We haven’t received a single penny from April 2018. We are regular employees of the department but we are being treated worse than daily wagers”, said Gazala Bano.

The protesting supervisors said that they work for the betterment of children; however, their own children are suffering now.

“We have sent many written representations to authorities but our pleas are falling on deaf ears”, they said. “On one hand department is seeking information about various welfare schemes but we have no money to pay as bus fare how can we go for field visits,” they added.

The protestors of the union also demanded that authorities should clear their promotions which according to them was pending for many years.

“We will lock down all Anganwadi centers and stop submission of monthly progress report if our demands are not met,” they said.
