He said that every saner person of our society has and will always stand against such condemnable acts.

“Jamia Masjid is sacred place for us and we as a nation will not allow anyone to violate its sanctity, added Yasin Malik.

Meanwhile, a memorial meeting was held at JKLF head office in Srinagar today to remember and recall the services, struggle and sacrifices of professor Abdul Ahmad Wani who was killed by unidentified gunmen on 31st December 1993.

The meeting which was attended by various JKLF leaders and activists was chaired by JKLF chairman who along with others addressed the meeting, a JKLF spokesman said in a statement issued today.

The spokesman said that while recalling the struggle and sacrifices of Wani, Malik said: “People like Shaheed-i-Danish Professor Abdul Ahad Wani actually add to the glory of nations. Intellectuals and thinkers like Shaheed professor Abdul Ahad Wani are like jewel in the crown of nations and whenever history of Kashmir will be written Shaheed Wani’s name will be remembered with great honor and dignity.”
