MMHS organizes weekly cultural heritage walk

JAMMU, DECEMBER 29: Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society (MMHS) in collaboration with Education and Tourism Departments today initiated the weekly heritage walk series as a part of the already approved activity calendar of the Society.

Executive Director MMHS, Jammu, Deepika Sharma, said that weekly heritage walk series is an attempt to educate the future generations about their glorious past and rich heritage and train young minds to inculcate the sense of belonging and ownership towards their heritage.

He informed that the Society is striving to promote culture as well as transmitting pristine legacy to the coming generations.

“It is envisaged that children will conduct classroom sessions with their teachers by conducting discussions, essays, paintings etc. The outcome of such exercises will further be compiled and exhibited at Mubarak Mandi for public viewing,” he said.

As part of the weekly walk series, students of Dewan Badri Nath School accompanied by their teachers visiting Mubarak Mandi. The Executive Director thanked the students, teachers and Principal for their response and active participation.
