DGP sanctions scholarship of Rs.5.38 lakh to 58 wards of martyred police personnel

JAMMU, DECEMBER 29: Director General of Police Dilbag Singh today sanctioned Rs.5,38,200/- in favour of 58 wards of deceased police personnel who have laid down their lives in militancy related incidents in the State as scholarship out of Central Police Education Fund.

DGP has granted scholarship in favour of 58 wards of martyred police personnel of different classes during the academic session 2017-18. The scholarship of Rs.5.38 lakh has been granted out of Central Police Education Fund, a police spokesman said.

Besides, Rs.15,000/- has been granted to one ward who is pursuing M.Phil and Rs.10,000/- each have been granted in favour of 33 wards pursuing graduation. Rs. 12,000/- each have been granted 10 wards pursuing post graduation. Rs.6,000/- each have been granted in favour of 11 wards who are studying in different middle and secondary classes. Rs.2400/- each has been granted in favour of three wards who are studying in primary class.
