Police holds Interactive session with Sarpanches in district Ganderbal

December 27: Police in District Ganderbal held an interactive session with the newly elected Sarpanches of the district.

According to a police spokesman, Sarpanches representing all the seven blocks participated in the meeting wherein they discussed various issues of public importance which include constitution of youth clubs, creation of sports infrastructure in villages under civic action programme and involvement of Sarpanches in character and service verification matters.

“Superintendent of police district Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal assured the participants that their genuine demands will be taken up with the appropriate authorities besides youth of the district will be provided with ample opportunities to avail benefits under civic action programmes,” reads the statement.

“Other officers of the district including ASP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad, DySP DAR Abdul Rashid, SHO Kheer Bhawani Inspector Nazir Ahmad were present during the interactive session,” it added.
