Quite politics or to apologize: Er. Rasheed asks Mehbooba
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar 26 December: AIP President and former MLA, Langate, Er. Rasheed has asked Mehbooba Mufti to apologize for going with the choice of her colleagues while eroding the interests of masses. The reaction came in view of Mehbooba’s latest assertion that she was led into the alliance with BJP by a few of her party members.

In a statement issued today, Er. Rasheed said that “what Mehbooba Mufti has said is unfortunate and has unmasked the harsh reality that she and her party had no ideology and have been following an agenda that suits their personal likes and interests. It is unfortunate to say that her own words are a confession that she lacks will, commitment, sincerity and dedications towards all that what she has been preaching and promising in public domain”.

Rasheed asked that it was mandatory for Mehbooba Mufti to name those individuals who compelled her for the alliance with the BJP and she must also reveal what were the reasons that she succumbed to the pressure tactics of few individuals and ‘betrayed the masses’. “She needs to know she and her colleagues were not running a private enterprise but a political party that promised to represent aspirations and sentiments of masses,” Er. Rasheed added.

Stating that the mistakes made by the leaders were always having huge consequences on the masses here, Rasheed asked Mehbooba to either apologize or resign.
