FCS&CA organizes e-PDS training at Pulwama

PULWAMA, DECEMBER 26: Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Kashmir today organized one-day training programme “On the use of technology and day to day operations of e-PDS” here at town hall.

Deputy Commissioner G.M Dar was the chief guest on the occasion.

During the programme, the master trainers imparted training to the participants regarding the operation of e-PDS, digitalization of ration cards, other database and computerization of supply chain management.

Speaking on the occasion, DC said that e-PDS brought complete transparency in Public Distribution System (PDS), especially in the distribution of food grains and other essential commodities to the people. He said the aim of the e-PDS is to mitigate the grievances of the people and bring transparency in the distribution system.

Deputy Director Food and Supplies Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari, Assistant Director Food Pulwama/Shopian Surjeel Ali Naiko, District Information Officer Tahir Ahmad Magray, Tehsil supply officers of Pulwama and Shopian, resource persons from Directorate and other concerned officials participated in the Programme.
