Secy Tribal Affairs inspects Gujjar & Bakerwal hostels in Samba

JAMMU, DECEMBER 22: Secretary, Cooperative and Tribal Affairs, Abdul Majid Bhat today inspected various Gujjar and Bakerwal Hostels at Sarore and Bari Brahamana areas in district Samba.

Director Tribal Affairs, Mushtaq Ahmad, Secretary Gujjar and Bakerwal Advisory Board and other concerned officers accompanied him.

The Secretary Gujjar and Bakerwal Advisory Board and the Wardens of the hostels were directed to immediately making heating arrangements in the rooms and also provide sweaters and blankets to the students.

The Secretary Tribal Affairs also impressed upon the concerned to ensure cleanliness in and around the hostels and provide hygienic food to the students.

The Secretary asked the PWD to complete the construction of hostel at Sarore by the end of this month so that the students residing in rented hostel at are shifted to the new building at the earliest.

Interacting with the students, the Secretary enquired about the facilities being provided by the hostel management like accommodation, food, sanitation and education etc.
