JKLF holds protests in Lal Chowk

Srinagar: Various leaders and activists of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) today held peaceful protest demonstration against killings, the prolonged and repeated incarcerations of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and others, a JKLF spokesman said in a statement.

The spokesman said that police today arrested senior JKLF leader Muhammad Rafi Nanaji from his residence at Natipora and lodged him at police station Chanapora.

A police contingent today morning raided the residence of Nanaji in the wee hours and took him in custody.

The spokesman said that JKLF has strongly condemned this arrest and termed it as arbitrary and undemocratic.

Meanwhile JKLF United Kingdom and Europe Zone organized a protest program against human rights violations in Kashmir and arrest of Muhammad Yasin Malik and others on ‘concocted charges’, the spokesman said.

“The Protest was held outside Indian high commission in London JKLF leaders and members of Kashmiri Diaspora participated in these protest rallies,” said the spokesman.
