JAMMU, DECEMBER 21: Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali has thanked the Governor Satya Pal Malik, for approving the proposal to establish the first-ever University in Ladakh.

Chairman had earlier called upon the Governor along with representatives of various student bodies of Kargil and apprised him about the concerns of the people of the area.

He has also thanked Advisor to Governor, Khursheed Ahmad Ganai and Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam for their efforts towards establishment of the maiden varsity in Ladakh.

Chairman said Governor and his administration were prompt and swift enough to take cognizance of the genuine concerns of the people of Kargil and the student community in particular.
