December 20: Baramulla police arrested two drug peddlers during a naka checking and recovered huge quantity of contraband substance from their possession.

During naka checking at Nihalpora road near Cheksari crossing, a police party headed by SI Athar intercepted a Load Carrier bearing registration number JK05F 7615. During the search of vehicle two bags loaded with fukki weighing approximately 38 kilograms were recovered from the said vehicle, a police spokesman.

Two drug peddlers aboard the vehicle were taken into custody. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation in the matter is in progress.
